Robert Morgan was born in Brooksville, Kentucky to Anna Marie Lundrigan & Robert Lee Morgan in 1931. He is survived by daughter Cheryl of Royal Oak, Michigan, daughter Carolyn Smithee & son-in-law Dale Smithee of La Mesa, California. Mr. Morgan was the proud “papa” to his three precious grandchildren: Kiara, Karly & Kyle Smithee, also from California. He was married to the late Vivian Morgan for 50 years.
In life Mr. Morgan was a retired Aerospace Test Engineer for the Federal Government who was especially proud of the contract work he did for NASA over the years. He loved the space program and loved engaging in any kind of discussion about it.
He proudly served in the US Army & served in the Korean War and was proud of his Irish heritage.
In his younger days he enjoyed traveling with his family and enjoyed golfing, bowling, pool, reading history & attending church.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
An instate for Robert will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 17017 East Twelve Mile Road, Roseville, Michigan 48066, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
