

Robert C. Plasky, age 83 a longtime resident of Sterling Heights, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at Beaumont Hospital in Troy Michigan. Robert was born July 20, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Joseph Plasky and the late Mary (nee: Horecki) Plasky. Robert was raised in Detroit and later served his country in the United State Navy achieving the rank of Coxswain CB. Following his military service Robert went to work for General Motors Corporation for the next 37 years with most of the years spent as an inside the property truck driver. Robert was truly a family man and when he was not working his enjoyable time was spent tending to his home and garden or tinkering with his vehicles. At one point he restored a 1968 Dodge Charger. Also he and his wife enjoyed the trips back to Las Vegas where the two were wed December 25, 1978. Other trips were taken to Tennessee and also to northern Michigan to visit family. Mr. Plasky was the beloved husband of Barbara J. Plasky, and his was the dear father of Tom Smith, Ryan Prentiss, Sharon Brandon, Mark Plasky, and the late Diane Wilson, and the late Patricia Vastine. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. Mr. Plasky was predeceased by his parents, brother, and a grandchild. A Memorial visitation will be held Thursday 3-6 pm, at the D.S.
