Rodney Thomas Makowski, age 68, of Sterling Heights, died Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at his home.He was born August 1, 1944 in Hamtramck the son of the late Adolph and the late Gladys (nee: Barszczowski) Makowski.Rodney is survived by his wife, Rodena; children, Rodney Jr., Dawn (Ben) Schulke, and John Paul Mendajao; grandchildren, Rachael, Christopher, Tiffany, David, and Samantha; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kaylynn, and Addison; siblings, Stan (Tammy), Joe (Barb), Pat (Dan) Hugelier, and Marlene. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Rodney will be held Friday 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). He will lie in state Saturday 11:00 am until the time of his funeral Mass at 11:30 am at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Jerry Slowinski.
