Ronald “Ronnie” Dixon, age 72, of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025. Born on March 21, 1953, in Highland Park, Michigan, Ronnie was the beloved son of the late William Sr. and Beulah Dixon.
Ronnie shared 49 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife Denise, whom he lovingly called “Nika.” Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to their family. He was a proud and supportive father to Stacey Dixon, Sarah (Neal) Courtney, and Sandi (Steve) Nielson. Ronnie’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Kaylin, Tyler, Zack, Mylie, Parker, and Quinn—and his great-granddaughter Kassidy, all of whom brought endless joy to his life. He is survived by his siblings Pat, Nancy, Billy, Linda, Carol, Judy, Russell, and Cindy, and was preceded in death by his sister Betty. Ronnie will be lovingly remembered by his extended family, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
A lifelong hockey enthusiast, Ronnie played well into his 70s and was a passionate fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Notre Dame. He never missed a game, a meet, or a school event, no matter the distance or the weather, always cheering from the sidelines. Whether volunteering at school functions or just being a constant presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren, Ronnie’s dedication to family was unmatched.
He proudly served as a member of the Knights of Columbus for 30 years and as an usher at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Warren since 2005. After retiring from Orlandi Gear as a machinist after 32 years, Ronnie continued working at Gardner White in Auburn Hills, never one to sit still for long.
Known for his kindness and helpful nature, Ronnie was the neighbor who pulled garbage cans up from the curb and the Good Samaritan who stopped to help strangers in need. He was the last to say goodbye, often running alongside the car to wave one last time to his grandchildren.
Ronnie loved life. He had a quick smile, a warm heart, a sharp ear for oldies music (especially when it came to playing “Name That Tune”), and a simple joy in relaxing with a cold Pepsi in hand.
