Ronnie Barnard

Ronnie Barnard, age 77 of Sterling Heights and a longtime resident of Warren, died Sunday, October 09, 2011 at Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren. Ronnie was born February 02, 1934 in Warren Township, Michigan the son of the late Henry Barnard and the late Florence Barnard. Mr. Barnard was raised in Center Line Michigan and attended high school in Center Line. Following high school Ronnie served in the United States Army during the Korean War having attained the rank of Private 1st Class. After his military service he worked as a machinist and a machine repairman for LaSalle Tool for the next 24 ' years before going to work for US Manufacturing for the next 6 ' years until his retirement.When Ronnie was not working he loved to hunt and fish with his three sons, however his greatest joy in life was spending time with his two grandchildren, Emma and Zachary.Mr. Barnard was the beloved husband of over 52 years to Geraldine (nee: Caradonna) Barnard and the loving father of Brian (Jackie) Barnard, Patrick (Lori) Barnard, and Scott Barnard. He is the cherished grandfather of Emma and Zachary and the dear brother of Mary Merciez, John Barnard, and the late Reggie Barnard, and the late George Barnard.Visitation for Mr. Barnard will be Wednesday from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ' mile road). Eulogy services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30am.
