Russell William Bushor

Russell W. Bushor Jr. "Russ", age 72, of Roseville, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Beaumont Hospital Grosse Pointe. He was born September 17, 1938 in Detroit the son of the late Russell and the late Blanche (nee: Naiman) Bushor. Mr. Bushor was a retired Detroit Police Officer after 27 years. His family described him as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his zest for life and good times, kindness and generosity that he continually showed to others, his continuous and strong friendships he had with lifelong friends and his love and constant dedication to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Sharon; children, Kurt (Sheryl) and Shelley (Jeremy) Petty; grandchildren, Katlyn, Sydney, Logan, Hailey, Joslyn, and Justyn; sister, Betty Victor; and sister in law, Loretta Bushor. He is predeceased by his parents, Russell and Blanche Bushor; parents in law, Pete and Agnes Pilot; special aunt, Lue Watson; and siblings Lory Gabbard, Bob, Richard, and Henry "Buddy" Bushor. Visitation for Mr. Bushor will be held Saturday 5-9 pm and Sunday 2-9 pm with a 3:00 pm Scripture Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). He will lie in state Monday 10:30 am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Donald Catholic Church in Roseville. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Michael Donovan. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen and Rett Syndrome Research Trust.
