

Sally J. Boik passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, at the age of 96. She was born on April 13, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Roland Hines and Ethel (the late Clifton) Humphries. Sally lived a long and meaningful life defined by love, devotion, and a deep appreciation for family and friendship.
Sally was the beloved wife of the late Jerome Boik, with whom she shared more than 50 wonderful years of marriage. Their love story began in the 1960s at a bowling alley, an encounter that blossomed into a lifetime partnership filled with companionship, laughter, and steadfast support until Jerome’s passing in 2018.
She was a loving mother to John (Elaine) Cassisi and Dennis (Grace) Cassisi, and was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Christine Cassisi. Sally was a devoted grandmother to Melissa (Ryan) Ahler, Lauren (Sean) Barber, Jennifer (Gary) Miller, James Flannery, and Jenna Cassisi each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was a proud and cherished great-grandmother to Austin, Katie, and Abby Ahler; Jack, Maya, and Autumn Barber; and Jordan Miller, and was preceded in death by her beloved great-grandchildren, Alex and Jacob.
Sally was preceded in death by her dear sister, Sharon Pancotto, and was a proud and loving aunt to Cindy Tenn and Susie Dewey, and the late Kim Mathison.
In her earlier years, Sally found joy and creativity in oil painting and delighted in long conversations with friends on the landline, never missing an opportunity to connect and share stories. Sally and her family enjoyed peaceful time away at their cottage in Lexington, Michigan, where everlasting memories were made. She also was very devoted to Fr. Solanus, and the St. Bonaventure Capuchin Monastery in Detroit, Michigan Above all else, Sally treasured time spent with her family. Whether gathered for celebrations or quiet moments together, her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those she loved most.
Sally will be remembered for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and her faith. Her legacy of love lives on in the many lives she touched and in the cherished memories she leaves behind. Sally will lie in state on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 9:00am until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families, 8075 Ritter Street, Center Line, MI 48015.
