Sami M. Twal

Beloved husband of Ibtihaj Saleh Al Yacoub. Loving father of George (Nesrin Sunna), Ramzi (Sana Qunsol), Rula, Romel (Lina Sawalha), Nancy (Dr. Michael Neshewat), Lucy (Roge’ Shaker). Grandfather to Laith, Jamil, Sami, Julian, Leena, Nadine, Lara, Tara, Celine, Elissa, Natalia, Luke, Michael, Kristina, Claudia, Johnny, Anthony, Christian, and Grace.

Sami was born in Madaba, Jordan. Son of late Morqus and Fuda Twal (Al Azeizat). Dear brother to Tarek, and late (Sameh, Haitham, Muna and Samieh).

Sami is remembered, as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He had an innovative mind, Sami enjoyed working on many projects and hobbies such as gardening, wine making, and hunting with his children and grandchildren.

Sami served almost a quarter of a century in the Jordanian Army before emigrating to the United States in early 80’s. He worked hard living the American dream, encouraging his children to get higher educations in engineering, medical, and science fields.

He enjoyed reading on many topics in both languages English and Arabic. As a devoted Catholic, he regularly attended Sunday masses. He read the Bible and recited stories to grandchildren from the Testament.

He lived and enjoyed life with family and friends. He was a true fighter in life.

Friends may visit the AH Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI 48088 on Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, March 22, 2024 at Sacred Heart Chaldean Catholic Church, 30590 Dequindre Road, Warren, MI 48092 with Mass beginning at 10:00 A.M.

Sami will be laid to rest at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery following services.
