Shelly Denise Pappas, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on October 17, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan, Shelly was the cherished daughter of Carl Roberts and Vivian (nee Collinsworth) Roberts.
Family was everything to Shelly. She dedicated her life to those she loved, always making sure that her children, grandchildren, and everyone who crossed her path knew just how deeply they were cared for. Her warmth and generosity of spirit were boundless, and she found her greatest joy in spending time with those closest to her. Shelly’s love was a constant, and her home was always a place where family gathered, felt cherished, and found comfort in her presence.
In her leisure time, Shelly had a passion for arts and crafts, often filling her home with beautiful, handmade decorations that reflected her love of the changing seasons. Whether it was creating seasonal decor or simple handmade gifts, Shelly's creativity shone brightly in all she did. Her love for crafting extended to every corner of her life, always adding a personal touch to everything she touched.
Shelly found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—grabbing a cup of coffee with friends, enjoying meals at her favorite restaurants, or watching TV shows in the quiet moments of the day. She appreciated life's small joys, always making time to connect with others and enjoy the present moment.
Shelly's kindness, humor, and unwavering love for her family and friends will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She is survived by her two daughters, Sophie (Michael III) Wilson, and Salina Pappas; grandchildren Michael IV, Nathanael, and Ezekiel; siblings Lisa Roberts, Cathy Weeks, and Darlene (Thomas) Zuber; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.
