Skip was the best sister that I could have had. She was the most forgiving and loving person I've ever known. My heart will always have an emptiness that will never be filled - the comfort I find is knowing that one day we will be reunited for all eternity where there will be no suffering, no pain and certainly no more tears. Until then, I love you so very much Skip!! Thanks for always loving me when I wasn't very loveable!!

As someone who watched all four of you grow up, your mother raising you alone, I think you each know what a wonderful job she did and what an overwhelming undertaking it was now that you are all adults. I would have attended the viewing and funeral if I had known of it in time. Unfortunately, Whitney told me when I went into Joe's General the day after, so I repeat to the other three what I said to her, I always liked your mom, I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss, she will be missed. Her job is done well and she can rest peacefully, deservedly.

Hi everyone,. I dont know how to start, except to say I am sorry. This is the biggest loss our family has truly had to endure. Aunt Skip was a beautiful, funny, outgoing, kind, sweet, loving woman. She is going to be missed terribly. I know how hard this must be. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray you find some comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering!! How awful it is to say good bye to a loved one, especially when it is your life, like my sister was to her children. I don't have the words to say, but my heart breaks for them, and for myself. She was the best sister ever, I will miss her forever.

Thank you all for the support we have received. My Mom was the strongest, kindest, most loving person I know. I'm trying to cope with this loss. I know how happy she would be with these kind words, from family and friends. There will not be a day that goes by I won't think of her, and what the four of us children have lost. I remember sitting at Shirley table and make her celery sticks I did that for a few years. I love that lady no matter what you did she always treated you like you were one of her own. She will be missed.

We have lost the "Best little Mom" in the world. She started with nothing, and gave us everything. Raising 4 children on her own. She did a tremendous job. There will not be a day that goes by that I will not think of her. I miss her phone message.."hey Rob it's me Mom". She was also the best Gramzie ever. What is it you say when you loose somebody that you love so much?Aunt Skip is the greatest Aunt a person could ask for, I will love her always and forever. But there is one thing that I am very greatful for and that is all the Great memories that i will carry with me of her and her kids,and having the opportunity to grow up with them . Those were the best times of my life. I am sitting here sad thinking of how to say goodbye to her but I just cant, Instead I will say see you later when it is my time, But until then you will be Greatly missed love you JB

Hey Randy, this is Kevin from Softball...I don't know you well, but I do know that from the little I've spoken to you that you're a good guy and I respect you. I wish I was able to show my respects in person with more than this silly text, but a busy work + school(exam) day has me completely tied up today. I am therefore regretfully unable to attend the viewing which Trevor has notifed me of. I am very sorry for your loss. My little Mom was a very fiesty firecracker! Anybody who knew her knew that. She told ya like it was if you wanted to hear it or not. I will forever miss my coffee mornings with my Mom. Our little talks we always had. Her noisyness, concern for my boys. She was a precious, precious person to us kids. Words could never describe the emptiness we feel without our Mom! Words can not begin to describe what a wonderful, loving person the woman that I know as gramsie was. I never seen a grandma/mom as proud as her. I can honestly say for only knowing her for a couple years she was one of the most amazing people i've ever met. She kept me in line and I wasn't even part of her family and I'd take it like I was. Her love will shine on forever and she will truly be missed.

Where do you start about a woman who endured so much,and gave so much. Even having her in your life for a moment was a blessing. I can remember when her and I took Linda and Gladys to see the Monkeys.The two girls standing on chairs while we made sure they didn't fall. And we can't forget Bambi Lake and that station wagon. So many memories rush through my mind. I can almost hear them now all singing up there...Dad,Mom,Uncle Bud,Uncle Dody,Sherri Lynn,Mamaw and Papaw and Skip leading them. Bless the children,bless the grandchildren. For we know what loss is.! But your memories and children will ease the sorrow. My love to you all....... Aunt Pam.

Aunt Skip has left this earth for the rewards and joys of heaven that only God can provide. With God welcoming her home to join her mother and father. For those of us left behind, we are reminded of what a caring, funny, loving and reassuring woman Aunt Skip was. Many of us have memories, pictures, moments in time and subtle reminders of what Aunt Skip meant to us. With life taking each of us in our own direction, I am left with loving thoughts, experiences and conversations, knowing she loved me and our family. Although distances may separate us, I truly know Aunt Skip lives on through her children, showing the same conviction, love and genuine spirit that she did. God gives us no more then we can bear, and he decided to call her home. I pray our family finds peace and comfort that she is home. Take comfort in the time we had with her.
