

Shirley was very much a “people person” and lived in Warren since 1958. She was one of the founding members of Focus Hope in Detroit and was a volunteer at Bi County Hospital. She was a member of St. Sylvester Church where she was a member of the choir for 9 years, on the parish council and was the Christian Service Chairman. She was also a member of the Christian Family Movement. Later on in life, Shirley became a member at St. Martin de Porres church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and Grief Minister.
More than anything, Shirley loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also very close with her siblings and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and playing cards with her many friends.
Shirley was the loving mother of Thomas Watt (Eve), Gary Watt (Marie), Kathy Fauls (Thomas) and Susan Perna (Jeff). Beloved grandmother of Samantha, Jason, Joseph, Michelle, Dakota and the late Brandon and step grandmother of Charlie and Wayne. Cherished great grandmother of Aubrey, Max, Addison, Hudson and Brady. Step great grandmother of Emma, Kassie, Theo and Ophelia. Caring sister of the late Donald Friederichs, Eleanor Rau and Marilyn Rose.
