Stella S. Bieganowski, Age 93 and longtime resident of Warren, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, October 14, 2011. Stella was born August 3, 1918 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter to the late John Dziwik and the late Agnes (nee: Klysz) Dziwik. Mrs. Bieganowski was raised in Detroit where she met her late husband Alex. They were married in 1940 and eventually moved to Warren in 1966. It could be said that Stella, in her life, strove to live out some of the great qualities that St. Francis of Assisi personified in his life. She accomplished this first by not only living out her Catholic faith, but also allowing her faith to become that guiding factor which dictated how she would live her life. Secondly, like St. Francis, she had a deep love and appreciation for nature and seeing the beauty of God's creation. This appreciation not only gave her a green thumb, but ensured that anything she planted would surely grow. She loved her long walks enjoying nature and the outdoors at their summer home in Alger, Michigan. Stella was a wonderful homemaker and had a very positive outlook on life. This was obviously seen not only in how she cared for her family, but also how she took cared for her mother in her later years. Stella had a great sense of humor and enjoyed playing pinnacle or tripoly, as well as playing tennis and swimming in her younger years. Stella was not a stranger to hard work as she managed the women's department at the Federal department store at seven and Gratiot. She worked there for many years until her retirement. Mrs. Bieganowski was preceded in death by her loving husband Alex and her daughter Susan. Mrs. Bieganowski is survived by her son John Bieganowski . She was also a loving grandmother of Annie. Stella was a cherished sister of Helen Maul of New York, and the late Wanda Kustasz and Virginia Tyc. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews.Visitation for Mrs. Bieganowski will be Monday from 5-9pm and Tuesday from 3-9 pm with a 7pm Rosary at the D.S.
