

Stella J. DiDomenico, 82, of St. Clair Shores died Saturday, May 17, 2008 at her home. Stella was born February 25, 1926 in Detroit to the late Frank and Antonette Zapala. Stella was born and raised in the VanDyke/Harper neighborhood behind the family shoe store. November 13, 1948 she married her loving husband, Larry. She worked as a secretary for over 10 years at Pullman Industries. She loved to educate herself and was considered a life-long learner by her family. Stella had an incredible array of hobbies. She loved gardening, cooking, garage saleing, exercising, dancing the polka, polish poker, games, camping and a number of different crafts including cake decorating, floral arranging, and scrapbooking. After taking a class in floral arranging, Stella made floral arrangements which were so beautiful that people would line up to buy from her. As a scrapbooker, she made life history books for all her children and grandchildren. Stella is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Larry; children, Ronald (Deborah), Ralph (Mary), Donald (Connie) and Denise Flynn; grandchildren, Michelle (Tom), Brian, Christine (Brad), Jennifer (Nathan), Kelly, Stephen, Nathaniel(Stacey), Rebecca, Alex and Cameron; great grandson, Ayden; and sisters, Helen Nowacinski, Irene Brodzik and Bernice DeMattis. Visitation for Stella will be Tuesday from 5-9 pm and Wednesday from 1-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 Mile). A scripture service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Stella will be in state Thursday 9:30 am until the time of the Mass, 10:00 am, at St. Lucy Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
