Stella Visconti

Stella Visconti, age 88 of Warren, died Friday January 20, 2006 at Medilodge Nursing Home of Howell. Mrs. Visconti was born December 17, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late Albert and the late Katarzyna (nee: Sobczak) Krol. Mrs. Visconti grew up in Detroit and attended St. Albertus Catholic School. Stella married her late husband Carlo during the depression, and moved with her family to Warren in 1962. During her life she volunteered at the local school cafeteria and later she worked as a volunteer for over 25 years at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren. She enjoyed traveling with senior groups to out of state locations, and especially enjoyed attending musicals and plays. While at home Mrs. Visconti would crochet or play pinochle with friends. Her son commented that his mother was always supportive of his musical interests and endeavors, which now have carried on down to her grandchildren. Stella is survived by her children, Carl (Diana) Visconti, David Visconti, and Teresa (David) Rogers. She is also the loving grandmother of Aaron, Alisa, Jeffrey, Erik, and Luke. Sister of Ann (Bob) Olson, Steven (Pauline) Krol, Frank Krol, and the late Walter Krol. Sister in-law of Christine Krol, and the late Donna Krol. Dear companion of Joseph Sadocha. And mother in-law of Rebekah Mason. Visitation for Mrs. Visconti will be Sunday January 22nd, from 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). A Rosary Service will be held Sunday at 4 pm. Mrs. Visconti will lie in state on Monday 10:00 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church until the time of the funeral Mass 10:30 am. Officiating the Funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Gary Schulte and Deacon John Skladanowski. Please share memories of Stella at her guest book.
