Steve J. Halanski

Steve J. Halanski, age 87 of Detroit, died Saturday, February 03, 2007 at St. John Macomb Hospital Center in Warren. Mr. Halanski was born October 09, 1919 in Hamtramck, Michigan the son of the late Peter Halanski and the late Caroline (nee: Protasiewicz) Halanski. He is survived by his wife his loving wife of 65 years, Trevah (nee: Daggett) Halanski. He is the dearest father of Mary Radlick, Barbara K. Halanski, Steven (Barbara), Tom (Jeannie), and Carol (Dan) Leonard. Dear brother of Agnes Wilczynski, Roman (Dee) Halanski, Marianna VonGruenigen, Lucille Yankee, and Victoria Sivec. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 9 Great grandchildren. Steve Halanski served his country in the Navy during World War II. After his military service Mr. Halanski worked and retired as a superintendent in the building and construction industry. He worked originally with his family in construction and then went on to build commercial buildings, primarily in the nursing home and health care industry. Visitation for Mr. Halanski will be Monday from 5-9 pm, and Tuesday from 2-9 pm., at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile).
