

Steven Edward Jackson, age 65, died Friday, August 2, 2019 at Ascension St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Steven was born August 8, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, son of Rosa Lee (nee: Jackson) Cassell and the late Matthew Cassell.
Steven was raised in both Detroit and Flint, and later graduated from Flint's Northwestern High School. Following high school, Steven furthered his education by taking in studies at a heating and cooling trade school.
Throughout his life, Steven was a fitness buff and also a skilled boxer. He boxed many matches in Flint, Detroit, and Windsor, Canada. He was a gifted athlete and continued his healthy lifestyle until his health problems plagued him in his later life.
Steven worked mostly as a general laborer in the retail industry. When he was not working, he enjoyed fishing, going to the movies, and staying fit by working out. His loved ones remember Steven as a devoted family man who cared deeply for his siblings. When it was time to step out, Steven was always one of the best dressed men in the room. He will forever be remembered as a kindhearted and caring man.
Steven was the beloved son of Rosa Lee Cassell and the late Matthew Cassell. He was the dear brother of Rose Marie Cassell, Etta Cassell, Linda Reed, Michael Cassell, and Cathlean Rita Cassell. Steven is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation for Steven will be held Friday, August 9th from 5-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 mile Road) in Warren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am the Funeral Home on Saturday August 10, 2019.
