Suzanne Adamchick (nee: Sackyta), age 62 of Warren, died Monday, March 15, 2010 at home. She was born August 11, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Steven and Rose (nee: Pluszczynski) Sackyta. Suzanne was a loving mother, grandmother and friend whose greatest joy in life centered around those special to her and the memories they made together. These memories often included the fun that accompanied playing cards and games with family and friends, but some of the most special of them all were made amidst the comfort of her own backyard with loved ones nearby and the barbeque grill fired up. She loved the outdoors and found great enjoyment by basking in the sun, especially when she got to share the experience with others. Her love for the out-of-doors was truly heightened last summer when she joined in the family-fun on their vacation to Ludington. Suzanne's adventuresome spirit got a workout as she rode the sand dunes, and the sun worshipper in her thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the rays on the beach. It's a trip that the family will remember forever. Suzanne was also renown for her creative talents and her skills with arts & crafts projects. Both as a profession and a hobby, her abilities and expertise shone brightly as a floral designer. She was also quite adept at working her magic with ribbonry. Her children recall how special their gifts always were because of the big, beautiful handcrafted bows that would adorn their packages...made by the loving hands of Mom! Suzanne's appreciation for the arts was also realized through her eclectic and extensive collection of framery, statues and ornaments. With such a big and loving family, she was always happy to see the holidays roll around. That simply meant she was being given another opportunity to touch the hearts and lives of those most dear to her. Suzanne also had a sporting side to her that she enjoyed letting loose from time to time. She was an avid Red Wings fan who loved watching her boys with the winged-wheel work their magic. But without question, her favorite sporting pasttime was any opportunity she was given to root on her many grandchildren in their respective events. There was no bigger fan that grandma in the stands. And to balance everything out, Suzanne did enjoy some personal touches as well. On the occasions where she had time to herself, she loved to nestle up with a good book, stretch her brain while solving crossword puzzles...or like most fine ladies, lived for those special end-of-the-day moments while soaking up a bit of aromatherapy in a soothing bubble bath. Suzanne was a cherished woman who sought more to give than to receive, and leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will live on through the hearts and souls of so many. Beloved wife of Jerome. Loving mother of Karl (Barbara) Bendert, Joseph Bendert, Colleen (Butch) O'Connell, Maureen (Brian) Godbout, Douglas (Christy) Bendert, and Russell Bendert. Dear grandmother of Kyle, Bradley, Jacklyn, Kyla, Keff, Klay, Kali, Leah, Marcel, Jordan, and Laela. Sister of Therese (Greg) Quin, and the late Kenneth Sackyta. Visitation for Suzanne will be on Thursday, March 18 from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren.
