

Terry L. Bonkowski age 73 of Roseville, Michigan died Monday, July 12, 2021, at Ascension St. John Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Terry was born September 24, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Frank Bonkowski and the late Marie Schoen.
Terry was raised in Detroit and later enlisted into the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Terry served honorably within the Navy for nearly four years before returning home. With thanks and praise, we honor Terry for his service to our Country, “Welcome Home”.
Upon returning stateside following his military service, Terry married his first wife, began a family, and worked within the tool & die manufacturing industry.
Terry married his second wife Carol on March 11, 2000, and settled in Roseville, Michigan, while continuing working until he was stricken with a stroke. Prior to his health problems Terry loved life and golfing. He always enjoyed a good party and a hearty laugh with his fellow comrades at the Cpl. Richard W. Menge VFW Post 6756 in Warren, Michigan. Quiet time for Terry at home was usually spent listening to smooth jazz and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Terry was the beloved husband of Carol Bonkowski, and the dear father of Shawn (Jeff) Mezigian, and Terry Bonkowski. Loving grandfather of Lauryn, Brody, and brother of Debbie (Tom) Siress, and the late James Bonkowski, and the late Vincent Bonkowski. Terry is further survived by his sister-in-laws Virginia Bonkowski, Sharon Bonkowski, and his many friends and brothers and sister Veterans.
Visitation for Terry will be held on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 3-9pm with a 7:30pm Prayer Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ mile). Interment will be held Thursday July 22nd, 9am at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
