

The youngest child of the late Najla and Kiamil Simon, Thelma was born in Detroit and graduated from Eastern High School. After attending secretarial school, Thelma worked as a medical transcriptionist at various hospitals in Port Huron and Detroit throughout her life. Thelma worked hard her entire life, but also loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them more than anything. Later in life after retirement, one of her favorite pastimes was oil painting. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Thelma will be missed dearly.
Beloved wife of the late Alphonse Beskangy, whom she wed on November 9, 1947. Loving mom of Robert (Rebecca Meisner) Beskangy, Jeanne Beskangy, Mary Beskangy, Barbara (the late Daniel) LaRose, and George Beskangy. Cherished grandma of Christina LaRose, Justin LaRose, Amy Ham, Jonathan LaRose, and Ryan LaRose. Dear great-grandma of Adamma Obioma, Ikenna Obioma, Charlotte Ham, and Daniel Ham. Caring sister of Rose Simon, Leo Simon, George Simon, Joseph Simon, and Mary Simon, all of whom predeceased her.
Visitation Thursday, December 7th from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 12pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Shoenherr Road in Warren. Donations in memory of Thelma may be made to Our Lady of Redemption Melkite Catholic Church, 29293 Lorraine Avenue, Warren, Michigan, or to the charity of your choice.
