

Viola Jane Clark, age 79, of Warren died Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born February 13, 1930 in Detroit, the daughter of the late William and the late Daisy (nee: Funk) Hishok. Jane and her husband lived in Royal Oak for 50 years, and for the last 20 years have been staying in Holiday, Florida during the winter. Together they owned Kingslanding Campground in Columbiaville, Michigan. Jane loved to camp and enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motorhome. She also enjoyed shopping everywhere she went especially for bargains. Jane was an excellent cook and enjoyed working with crafts. Prior to retirement, she worked for Troy Schools as a bus aide, and was very active in the labor unions with many jobs. She was extremely nurturing and very giving to her friends and neighbors. Jane is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward; children, Terri Clark-Kacir, Sue (Richard) Poch, and Patti (Frank) Rogers; grandchildren, Myndi (Jeff) Pierceall, Justin Kacir, Sarah Poch, Jacob Poch, Kristen Poch, Lamont Poch, Dezmont Poch, Renee Poch, Marcus Poch, Charles Poch, and Ben Poch; great grandchildren, Cassidy and Ethan Pierceall; siblings, Faye (Joe) McNinch, Clyde (Josephine) Hishok, and Joyce (Arthur Jack) Pike; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, James E. Clark; son-in-law, David Kacir, and brother, William Hishok. Visitation for Mrs. Clark will be held Sunday 5-8 pm and Monday 2-8 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 11:30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society Relay for Life, www.esrfl.org (Team McKenziewillamette Workers United Against Cancer).
