Virginia Frances Lynch, age 79 of Roseville, died Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. She was born April 27, 1935 in Detroit, daughter of the late John and the late Gertrude (nee: Yert) Haberek. When she wasn't attending to the needs of family and home, Virginia loved to shop. She was known to have a coupon for almost everything, and was quite adept at snaggin' those great deals. And this skill of hers was never more prevalent than through her mastery in the art of garage sale shopping. Driving around in search of the potential prizes lurking in a strangers yard provided Virginia with hours of pleasure,...and every now and then, a huge catch. For a bit of the active pleasures Virginia enjoyed, there were always great times to be had at the bowling alley. A few friends, an oiled-up lane, and the right ball spelled fun in all kinds of ways. She was also quite fond of camping and exchanging the hectic pace of the city for a little back-to-nature enjoyment. There was always loads of friends to share the experience with, and a camaraderie amongst her fellow campers that made it so special. As for lazing around the homestead, a little television entertainment would often include her favorites, the Roller Derby or a god ol' cowboy movie. Yet without a doubt, Virginia's most treasured pastime were the moments she got to spend with her loved ones, both family and friends alike. And there was never a question about her precious grandchildren and the extra-special place they held in her heart. In the photo montage that's been started, so many of the photographs show Virginia embracing, cuddling, and loving on her little cherubs with the care and compassion each of them had come to know. Though her leaving creates an absence that may linger, her legacy leaves a reminder of the amazing wife, mother and grandmother she was and shared. She will be missed immensely and loved eternally. Virginia was the beloved wife of James. Loving mother of James Jr. (DeeAnn) Lynch, Michael (Eve) Lynch, Lori Lynch, and Anthony Lynch. Dear sister of Ann Vereecken, Robert Haberek, Dorothy Haberek, Patricia Gibson, and the late John Haberek. Grandmother of 13, and great-grandmother of 6. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Virginia was also preceded in death by her dear friend and neighbor, Sallie who died a couple years ago. Visitation for Virginia will be held Thursday, May 22nd from 5-9 pm and Friday 2-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 ½ mile) in Warren.
