

Vito "Bill" Pace, age 79, died Sunday, February 23, 2014, surrounded by his family, at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren Michigan. Vito Pace was born September 24, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Salvatore Pace and the late Anna Grammatico.Vito "Bill" was raised in Detroit and attended Southeastern High School. He also served in the United States Army having attained the rank of Private. Following his military service, Bill returned to Michigan and studied to become a hair stylist, beautician, and cosmetologist. Bill owned Vito's Salon in Southfield, Michigan for over ten years before selling the salon and working for other salon owners.When Bill was not working, he was quite the athlete and very active in bowling leagues and golfing. He bowled at Ark Lanes in Sterling Heights and at one point bowled three 300 games. He also was a very good golfer achieving the coveted "Hole in One". More quiet time was spent fishing.Bill, at his core, was a family man devoted to his wife Antoinette for over 52 years, and his children Jeff and Laura. As time marched on and the grandchildren came, Bill said he was "Over the Moon" happy with his two grandchildren. He was a kind and gentle man who seemed to know and find a friend anywhere he was.Vito Pace is the beloved husband of Antoinette (nee: Crocenzi) Pace, and dear father of Jeffrey (Rebecca) Pace, and Laura (Jerome) Wahla. Vito was the devoted grandfather of Gabrielle and Ethan. He is also survived by many loving family members and friends.Visitation for Mr. Pace will be held on Tuesday, February 25th from 3-9pm, with a Rosary Service at 7:30pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). Vito's Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, 9am at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr. Joseph Gembala.Please share memories of Bill at his memory book.
