Walter Parker, age 66 of South Lyon, died Monday, September 24, 2012 at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit. He was born on November 5, 1945 in Combs, Kentucky, the son of Allen and Tommie (nee: Brown) Parker.With thanks & praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Walter for his service to our country from 1969 to 1973. He was a soldier in the U.S. Army and spent most of his duty time in Korea. For the call to duty he so proudly served, we honor his bravery and patriotism in preserving the cause of freedom.He was the beloved son of Allen & Tommie Parker. Dear father of Michael (Dawn) Parker, Jenifer (James) Bond, and Crystal Parker. He is also survived by grandchildren, Tori, Natasha, Alex, Shane, and great-grandchild, Emily. Brother of Jimmie (Marilyn) Parker, Gary (Julie) Agar, Charles (Roberta) Feuerbacher, and Betty (Bobby) Downs.A Memorial Service for Walter will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Walled Lake Church of Christ, 1367 N.
