

William Eagling, age 78, of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2025. Born on April 21, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan, to William Sr. and Donna Eagling (nee Doyle). Bill lived a full and meaningful life marked by love, service, and deep devotion to his family and country.
He was the beloved husband of Shelly Eagling, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. A devoted father, Bill is survived by his daughter Karrie (Donnie) Ruhlman and was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Eagling. He was also preceded in death by his siblings James (Michaela) Eagling and Joyce Eagling. Bill was a proud pet parent to his beloved dog Maxwell, a border collie and beagle mix. He is also survived by his nieces and close cherished friends.
Bill proudly served his country as a United States Marine, completing a tour of duty in Vietnam. His sense of duty and patriotism remained a source of pride throughout his life.
Following his military service, Bill dedicated over 25 years to BorgWarner Automotive, formerly Holley Automotive, retiring as a Senior Purchasing Manager. He was respected for his work ethic, leadership, and loyalty.
Outside of work, Bill was a passionate bowler, participating in numerous leagues over the years. He also loved traveling, especially on cruises with his family, creating cherished memories on the open seas.
Bill will be remembered for his sense of humor, steady presence, and generous spirit. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, from 5pm until 8pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. An instate will be held on Friday, July 25, from 10:30am until the time of the funeral service at 11am, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers any donations made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project would be deeply appreciated.
