Yvonne Marie Liberati, 57, of Warren, Michigan, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Dearborn, Michigan on August 13, 1968, Yvonne dedicated her life to the outdoors, animals, and the people she cared about. She loved frisbee, sports, a glass of wine, and going barefoot all summer long. She took each one of life’s challenges head-on and handled them with humor, grace, and infectious enthusiasm.
Yvonne was an enormous presence in the world. She showed her love through sharing her favorite things with all who knew her: a line or two from a good horror movie, songs from her childhood (preferably played loud), and homemade Italian food she sent everyone home with. She was committed to bringing happiness to everyone and everything around her. She was devoted to her family’s restaurant, started her own animal rescue, and felt most at home beneath an open sky, gathered around the campfire or playing a game of frisbee by the lake. She was an adoring mother to her two daughters who have always been her world, a dedicated companion to her loving partner, a proud pet parent, and she made everyone else she met feel like family.
Yvonne was preceded in passing by her mother Florence Liberati, her father Edward Liberati, and her sister, Simone Liberati. She is survived by her partner Robert Murray, her daughters Carly Ballantine and Jessie Ballantine, her brothers Emery Liberati and Anthony Liberati (Jo’El Liberati), and her cats Jet and Sammy.
Yvonne will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her sharp humor, and her love for everything furry. Her warmth and optimism were endless gifts to anyone and everyone who knew her. Her free spirit is terribly missed and her loss is felt deeply by all.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan on May 16, 2026 at 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. You are invited to dress comfortably, casually or colorfully to celebrate Yvonne’s life — come as you are, as she would have wanted.
