Zachary Thomas

Zachary Thomas, age 70, died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Zachary was born October 12, 1944 in Lebanon, son of the late Joseph Thomas and the late Alia (nee: Tannous) Thomas.Mr. Thomas worked and retired from the maintenance department at the Ford Motor Company. Even though he did not build the vehicles directly, he was still a "car guy" through and through. Zachary was a very compassionate person who cared deeply for others,...the kind of man who would give a complete stranger the shirt of his back to help.Zachary's life revolved around his family, however he did have other passion and loves. His interests were varied from his love of Motown Music to riding the roller coasters at Cedar Point. Tranquil time was spent at home in his garden or simply relaxing by the TV while watching the old Western movies. He enjoyed his time with his many friends and also the occasional trip to the horse tracks to place a wager on the ponies. Most people will remember Zachary for his generosity and giving to others... he will be truly missed.Mr. Thomas was the loving husband of Mary, and is the dear father of Joseph and Lisa. Zachary was the brother of Laura Joseph, Ambera Daoud, and the late Sam Thomas. He is further survived by his cherished grandchildren, Ethan, Isabella, Sophia, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Mr. Thomas will be held Wednesday, September 16th from 3-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd.) in Warren. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Thursday, 11:00 am at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Leamington, Ontario, Canada. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Leamington.
