Russo Josephine T.

Age 98 of Grace Barker Nursing Home died Monday August 30, 2010 at RI. Hospital. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Russo they had been married for 65 years. Born in Barre , VT. She was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Teresa (Contratto) Tomasi.

She was a graduate of Pembroke College in Brown University, class of 1934. She worked for the RI. Department of Employment and Security in Providence for 10 years. During her retirement she and her husband spent the next 20 years travelling throughout the world.

She was the devoted mother of Patricia R. Pella and her husband Peter of Santa Fe. NM. Phyllis R. Di Maria and her husband Joseph of Warren, and the late Dr. Paul Russo Ph.D and his wife the late Marianne Russo.

She had 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was also a sister of the late Dr. John Tomasi, and the late Dr Thomas Tomasi, the late Hazel Mitchell and the late Margaret Carpenter.

Relatives and Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Mary of the Bay Church 645 Main St. Warren. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
