Dryer, Mary (Gomes), 95, long time resident of Franklin Court in Bristol, passed away Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was the wife of the late Charles W. Dryer, Sr. to whom she had been married 49 years before his passing. Born and raised in Warren, she was the daughter of the late August and the late Mary (Costa) Gomes.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth’s Church in Bristol and enjoyed traveling. She played the bugle in the Warren Holy Ghost Band.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Noiseux of Rehoboth, MA; son, Charles W. Dryer, Jr. of Lincoln, RI; sister, Gilda Canario of Bristol; grandchildren, Charles W. Dryer III, Stephen Dryer, David Dryer, Ginger Noiseux and Holly Moore and Holly and Luke Walker; and great grandchildren, Kiley and Morgan Moore, Sienna Walker, Liam Langfield and Mason and Dylan Dryer. She was the sister of the late John Gomes.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 at 9:30 AM from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol.
