Born in Fall River, MA he was a son of the late Oliver L and Sarah E. (Wilbur) Mason.
He was an Electrician for Blount Marine for many years and also for Teknor Apex before retiring. Oliver was a Volunteer fireman with the former Engine 4, Vernon St. Station-Sowams Fire Company for over 20 years.
He is survived by two brothers, Edwin E. Mason of Avon, CT and John R. Mason of Bristol, and one nephew, John R Mason, Jr. also of Bristol and a long time companion Priscilla Garneau of Fall River, MA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 11:00 A.M. in the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main Street, Warren. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home.
