Rodney E. Brown

Born and raised in Riverside, a son of the late Charles F. “Buster” Brown, Jr. and the late Vivian (Boudreau) Brown, he was a resident of Barrington for 44 years.

A U.S. Navy veteran he served in the Korean Conflict. A true outdoorsman, he bred hunting Beagles, was an avid rabbit and deer hunter, fisherman, a lifetime member of the N.R.A and had an extensive knowledge and love of nature. He enjoyed spending time on the water and especially vacationing in his family home on Cape Cod in Orleans, MA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, David A. Brown and his wife Cynthia of Cranston; daughter, Lori Jewett of Swanville, ME; brother, Charles F. Brown III and his wife Phyllis; and grandchildren, Kelly Hernandez and Michael, Joel, Rachel, Kevin and Daniel Brown. He was the father of the late Kerry E. Brown and brother of the late Shirley C. Ray and Patricia Poissant.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren followed by burial with military honors in Veterans Memorial Cemetery, S. County Trail, Exeter, RI. Visitation prior to the service, 9:00 – 10:00 AM.
