Roland E. Berthiaume

Roland E. Berthiaume, age 89, of Seekonk, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Catherine A. (DeNoncour) Berthiaume, with whom he shared 31 years of marriage.

Born in Johnston, a son of the late Gaston and Laura (Fournier) Berthiaume, he was a longtime resident of Seekonk.

He attended East Providence High School and served in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post#311 in Seekonk, serving as the past commander. Roland was a truck driver for George Mann Chemical Company in Providence for over 40 years before retiring. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed doing yardwork, planting flowers and going antiquing.

In addition to his wife survivors include: two sons, Robert Berthiaume of California and Edward Berthiaume (Carol) of Dighton; one daughter, Linda Pimental of East Providence; one sister, Rita Minutelli of Bristol; two stepsons, Richard Nunes (Amanda), Michael Nunes and his wife Patricia; one stepdaughter, Lori Cote and her husband David and fifteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond and Bernard Berthiaume.
