Ronald “Ron” A. Louro, age 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care of RI. He was the loving husband of Rosalie (Andreozzi) Louro to whom he was married for 54 years.
Born in Fall River, MA a son of the late Manuel and Marguerite (Silva) Louro. He was a longtime resident of the East Bay area.
A veteran of the United States Marines he served during the Vietnam War. Having begun learning carpentry as a young man, he became a respected builder and skilled General Contractor for many years before his retirement. A devoted family man, he was always willing to lend a hand. His greatest joy came from racing with his great-grandson Jacob for 10 years and going to races at Seekonk Speedway.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Ron Louro and his wife Lisa of Rehoboth; one daughter, Justine Louro and her partner Charles Longo of Bristol; one brother, Kenneth Louro; one granddaughter, Jaclyn Pinheiro; two great-grandsons, Jacob “Rowdy” Burns and Jayden Webster and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert “Bobby” Louro.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 9:00-10:45 AM in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St, Warren followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Due to current occupancy restrictions, please be mindful that guests may have to wait outside while others pay their respects.
