Ruth Theresa Rebecchi

Ruth Theresa (Palumbo) Rebecchi, formerly of Bristol, passed away peacefully at the John Clarke Nursing Facility in Middletown on May 25, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Saverio “Savvy” Rebecchi.

Born in Barrington in 1921, she was the daughter of the late Raffael and Josephine (Palumbo) Palumbo.

Ruth moved to Bristol in 1951 and worked for Best Made Dress of Warren before retiring in 1974. She enjoyed cooking and baking and family gatherings. She also was an avid golfer, a communicate of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, a member of The Daughters of Isabella, the Bristol Golf Club Woman’s League, and Linden Place.

She leaves two sons, Ralph Rebecchi and wife Joany of Warwick, and Sav Rebecchi and wife Cheryl of Jamestown. She was the sister of Paul Palumbo and Glenna Conti, and the late James, Ralph and Gary Palumbo, and Connie Sanchas. She also leaves five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9am from the WILBUR-ROMANO Funeral Home, 615 Main St., Warren followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 141 State St., Bristol. Burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bristol. Visitation Tuesday 5-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G.
