(Age 57)
On Monday, June 19, 2017, Anthoula P. Gianniotis of Washington, DC, became our angel. Following a long battle with cancer, she went peacefully with her family by her side and her pride, dignity, and beauty intact. Her kindness and touch of grace echoed through every interaction and was confirmed by the overwhelming support of family, friends, and colleagues through this tremendously difficult period of time.
Anthoula was a practicing Architect and Principal Partner at the family's Architectural-Engineering Firm. Anthoula's priorities in life were her family, her work and her compassion to others. She opened her golden heart to all her life touched along the way.
Anthoula is survived by her beloved husband, Panagiotis "Pano" Gianniotis; her loving children, Spiro Gianniotis and Rosette DiFranco (Justin DiFranco); her brother, Constantine "Kosta" Adamopoulos (Janice Roebuck); her mother, Rosette Adamopoulos; her mother-in-law, Mary Gianniotis; and her brother-in-law, Christo Gianniotis.
Relatives, friends and colleagues are invited to celebrate her life at Joseph Gawler's Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC on Monday, June 26 at 11 a.m. By Anthoula's request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital:
