Axel Palmason, 52, of Northwest Washington passed away on July 10, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tammy Ganey and their two children, Elsa Axelsdottir and Charles Axelsson. Axel was born and raised in Iceland. He was a Senior Economist in the African Department at the International Monetary Fund. He enjoyed traveling, taking walks and had a passion for the game of golf. A private service is planned in Iceland.
