Dear Barbara--My thoughts and heart go out to you at this sad and hard time. Especially at this time of year, I always remember that the distance between this world and the next is thinner than the edge of a maple leaf (Iroquois saying) and that we are not humans who have spiritual experiences but we are all spirits who have human experiences. May comfort and peace be with you.

Ben... I don't know what to say to make any of this make sense. But I know you were one of those rare people who lived every day to its fullest. I came away inspired by your memorial service because you touched so much lives and lived your life so unafraid. No one who's met you will ever forget you.
