Mrs. Betty Jane Parks, age 87, of Austell, GA, formerly of Bethesda, MD, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. She was born and raised in Washington, DC and was retired from Miller & Long Concrete Construction Company. Mrs. Parks was the past president of the Washington Chapter of NAWIC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Russell Parks, Jr. and sister, Sara Norcross. Survivors include daughter, Linda Sue Dozier (Donald); grandchildren, Julie Amanda Fulton and Andrew Edwin Fulton (Rebecca); two great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Coffey (Maurice); brother, J. Kenneth Althouse, Jr. (Pam) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at JOSEPH GAWLER'S SONS, INC., 5130 Wisconsin Ave. (corner of Harrison St.), NW, Washington, DC, on Tuesday, October 28 from 6 to 9 p.m., where funeral service will be on Wednesday, October 29 at 12 noon.
