Lucy Acres

Lucy Kar Yan Acres died on January 27, 2018, in Washington, DC. She was born there on May 22, 2008. A rare metabolic disorder posed monumental challenges throughout her nine years. Lucy was strong, tender, and radiant; an extraordinary girl in so many ways. She gently taught her family, friends, and caregivers a lot about fortitude, love, and the power of simple moments. Lucy will be embraced and cherished always in the hearts of her parents, Christine Tan and Al Acres; her older sister, Audrey; her younger brother, James; and a very large family of loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018, 11:00 am, at Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church – 1 Chevy Chase Circle, Washington DC, 20015.
