

Marie Herfurth Grover, affectionately known by her family and friends as "Mimy", died on August 15, 2015 at her Washington, DC home at the age of eighty-nine. Mimy was born in Antwerp, Belgium and attended Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur in Antwerp. She was a 1953 graduate of Georgia State College for Women (now Georgia College) in Milledgeville, Georgia. She was a volunteer of many years at Stone Ridge (book barn) and worked at the Belgian Embassy in Washington, DC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willem Herfurth and Marie-Jeanne Herfurth and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lydia Herfurth-Landuyt. She was the beloved wife of John H. Grover, devoted mother of George Robert Grover and his wife, Janet Stunis Grover of W. Caldwell, NJ, devoted mother of Anne Grover Vogel and her husband, Michael James Vogel of Concord, MA, grandmother of Marie Cassidy Grover of W. Caldwell, NJ, John Richard Grover of Seattle, WA, Kathleen Elizabeth Vogel (Katie) of Concord, MA, Andrew Patrick Vogel of Concord, MA and Great-Grandmother of Ella Dorothy Grover of W. Caldwell, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Joseph Gawler's Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue NW (corner of Harrison Street) Washington, DC on Friday, August 21, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4835 MacArthur Boulevard, Washington, DC on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. A private interment service will be held on Monday at Morris Cemetery in Phoenixville, PA.
