

Mark David Story (48) was called home by the Lord on July 17, 2024. Mark was born July 30, 1975 in Anaheim, California, the son of the Reverend Roger Story and Lin Story. He was raised on the Southern California beaches where he surfed with the dolphins and his dad. The family moved to Northern Virginia where Mark graduated from Langley High School, Mc Lean, Virginia and then returned to California, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Medicine from Vanguard University in Costa Mesa.
He was a professional videographer, photographer, and acclaimed photojournalist who was recognized for his ability to capture the essence, power, and beauty of God’s creation through his photos no matter what the assignment entailed. His career touched all aspects of documenting our culture from fashion to the corporate world, from nature to music concerts, from weddings to historic national events and portraits of national leaders here and abroad. He often worked with Congressional leaders and documented 30 years of the National Children’s Prayer Congress’ D.C. events, which his parents and he led to empower and disciple youth from around the country to pray for national leaders. He also traveled on mission trips to Lebanon, Bolivia, Guatemala, the Philippines, Niger, Mexico documentaries that impacted many.
For many years Mark has been well known and highly respected by local and national pro-life organizations. He was called by his friends in the life community, “A Man of God and The Pro-life Photographer,” remembering him not only as a gifted photographer but also for his unassuming gentle spirit and strong faith, treating everyone with dignity while being unwavering in expressing “truth in love.”
Remembrances included comments such as, “the light he brought to this world was so tangible,” and “His incredible talent and gentle spirit of joy and service, touched everyone who was blessed to work with him. He will be sorely missed.” (For other testimonials see the links noted below.)
Mark was followed by thousands who were inspired and ministered to by his photography and application of scripture messages on Instagram (Eternallystoked) and Facebook.
In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his sister Shari Gaeta her husband Gabe Gaeta, his nephews, Zachary Gaeta and his fiancé Kenzie Coe, Jacob Gaeta, Noah Gaeta and his wife Daphne Gaeta and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who he loved and cherished.
The family would like to thank all his friends and the wonderful pro-life organizations, of which he was such a strategic part, and those who have given so generously with their time, resources and prayers for the support of us all.
