Mary Catherine Albert

Suddenly on Oct. 5th 2016. Mary (Minnie) was born on June 16th, 1951 in Washington D.C. to William Lawrence Albert and Catherine Quill Albert. She grew up in Washington and attended Immaculata High School. She graduated from Wells College where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. While working full time she put herself through Georgetown Law School, attending at night. After law school she embarked on a long, productive legal career with several different firms specializing in telecommunications law. At the time of her death she was employed by the Electronics Transactions Association.

She enjoyed travel, her devoted dog Petey and spending time with friends. She is survived by her brother Charley of Hanover PA, her niece Lizzi Albert of Washington D.C., nephew Willie of Silver Spring, MD, dozens of friends who were touched by her kindness and Petey.

Friends may call at Joseph Gawler’s Sons LLC. at 5130 Wisconsin Ave. N.W. Washington D.C. from 4-6 and 8-10 P.M. on Thursday October 20th. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday October 22nd at 11:00 A.M. at the Little Sanctuary at St. Alban's School on Mt. St Alban's in Washington D.C. Reception to follow immediately at the School's Refectory.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Washington Humane Society or the Chesapeake Shakespeare Theatre in Baltimore.
