

After a career as an executive secretary, working at Lockheed Aircraft Corporation she and her husband formed a business partnership that owned and managed real estate in the District of Columbia. Mary managed one of the company's principal holdings, Bancroft Hall, an International student boarding house on Connecticut Avenue.
Mary was an active member of Fourth Presbyterian Church, an avid bridge player, a world traveler, a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and The Chevy Chase Woman's Club.
Mary was predeceased by her husband Otis, and her children Consuelo and Christian. She is survived by her daughter Kathi Yokum (Edward Zucca of Woodstock, Ct.; Charles Yokum (Holly) of Frederick, Md. daughter-in-law Diane Davis Yokum of Rockville, Md.; Craig Yokum of Rockville, Md. and step daughter Claudia Ryan (Dennis) of E. Sandwich, Ma.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren as well as seven nieces and nephews and many beloved friends and neighbors.
A service with a reception to follow will be held at Joseph Gawler's Sons Funeral Home, 12 p.m. noon on October 25, 2023. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Fourth Presbyterian Church, 5500 River Road, Bethesda, Md. 20816
