Dear Brooks, B.J. and Chris,
How grieved I am to learn of Nancy's passing, just now through a post on the Hollins Web site. Although she was several years my senior, and we shared no classes at Hollins, we did meet again at UVA in 1972 and '73. There she proved to be a steadfast friend and inspiration. Her energy and enthusiasm was contagious. Her quick mind, challenging. I feel blessed to have known her, if only briefly. 
Sadly, I had hoped to reconnect with her, having recently moved back to Charlottesville. 
Please accept my condolences and prayers on behalf of your family.

I remember Nancy from Dumbarton Oaks.  She always set her sights on positive outcomes and enjoyed a good joke.

I am crying as I write this note of condolence to your family. I was fortunate to be Nancy's Room Parent during her last year of teaching and she touched my life in a very special and meaningful way. I am so happy she was my daughter's Kindergarten teacher. We will never forget her.

Dear Brooks, B.J. and Chris,
Nancy and I had children in the same schools throughout their education.  I would see Nancy at Geneva, Harbor, Norwood, and Landon, in the role of devoted mother and constant volunteer. I worked with her on a few of the many volunteer projects she tirelessly and enthusiastically took on.  I always admired her zest for living and being involved in whatever needed to be done.  Nancy accomplished much in her short life and she will be missed deeply.  I offer you my sincere condolences.

We loved Nancy during her years at Christ Episcopal School.  She was able to give the pre-schoolers just the right combination of "mother and teacher' for those transitional years.  I expecially loved having Chris in my music classes.  Bert Wirth, CES music

I was so sorry to hear about Nancy's passing.  She was a wonderful friend and colleague during our time together at Christ Episcopal School.  Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy's family at this very difficult time.  I enjoyed so much working with Nancy at the Barnesville School. She was a innovative master teacher. She instilled in all the "can do" spirit to meet the challenges of life. Her spirit will remain a force in our lives for years to come.

We were so sad to hear of Nancy's death.  She was an extraordinary teacher who helped our daughter develop a love of learning and of school.  We will never forget her or the impact she had on our family.

I was saddened when I heard that Nancy's fight for better health had taken a turn for the worse, which then led to her passing. Nancy was a very courageous woman who kept her spirits (and those of the people around her) positive in spite of what she was battling. Her courage, as she faced  enormous odds, is a lesson for us all! She will be missed by many. I offer you my sincere condolences.

I am sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. As one of her colleagues at Barnesville I always enjoyed her intelligence, wit and forthrightness.
