Passed away on July 19, 2016. She was born in Scranton, PA, but lived her entire life in the Washington, DC area. She is preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband, Dr. Stanley M. Bialek. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Garel, her son-in-law John Garel, and her two grandchildren, Ferris and Ellis. She was a kind, generous woman who took pride in supporting and caring for others. She worked with her husband to build a corporate health care company. Her knowledge of World War II history was extensive. She is particularly recognized for the loving, active role she played in the lives of her grandchildren. A brief Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 22 at 12 Noon at Joseph Gawler''s Sons. Private burial to follow.
