
Rick Yamada, 54, of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away on April 22, 2022. He was born on May 3, 1968, in California to the late Fred Yamada and Carmen Yamada. Rick was a devoted son to his mother and enjoyed spending time with her on the weekends.
Rick was an IT specialist and computer technician by profession. He attended Wheaton High School and later pursued higher education at the University of Central Florida. Rick was known for his love for tinkering with motorcycles and cars. He was a member and the treasurer of the Free Riders Independent Motorcycle Club in Gaithersburg and went by the handle Zero. Rick was also an accomplished lead guitarist and played with the band Sweatbox in Daytona Beach.
Rick counted each friend as a blessing and enjoyed spending time with every one of them. He was survived by his son Shane Yamada and his mother Carmen Yamada. He was also survived by his non-biological family members Nancy, Oscar, Kevin, Christina, Mike, Larry, Allen, Dawn, Deon, and Curtis. He was preceded in death by his father Fred Yamada and non-biological family members Mark and Glen (Herbie).
Rick will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
