

Roderick M. Hills, age 83, died October 29, 2014, at Johns Hopkins Hospital. His wife Carla A. Hills, was by his side. Roderick was founder and chairman of the Hills Program on Governance. In the Ford administration, he served as counsel to the President and Chairman of the Securities Exchange Commission. Roderick is survived by his beloved wife Carla A. Hills; children Laura H. Hills, Roderick M. Hills, Jr., Megan E. Hills, and Alison M. Hills; grandchildren Philip Hills Bunnell, Daniel Hills Bunnell, Emma Montoya Hills, Sarah Montoya Hills, and Owen Hills-Klaus. The family will have a private burial service. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am on November 24, at the Washington National Cathedral, 3101 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington DC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Fidelity Charitable, a charity at which a fund has been established to make contributions to The Hills Governance Center in memory of Roderick M. Hills. Checks should be made payable to Fidelity Charitable and should be sent to Fidelity Charitable, P.O. Box 770001, Cincinnati, OH 45277-0053.
