Dr. Trent Cowan Tucker, died on July 17, 2015, at home in Washington, DC. He is survived by his husband, Richard Price, and several sisters and brothers, and many nieces and nephews. Dr. Tucker received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1987, and for almost 30 years worked for the Department of Mental Health of the District of Columbia. During this time, he was assigned to inpatient and outpatient units and worked with a diverse group of individuals who suffered with the challenges of mental illness and/or substance abuse. Dr. Tucker loved his work and was energized by his co-workers and inspired by his patients. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 12 noon on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at the Rankin Memorial Chapel, Howard University Campus, Howard Place and 6th St. NW. Interment will be private. A brief visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the church.
