Allen G. Blanchette

Allen G. Blanchette, aged 85 of Cornwall, New York, passed away on August 3rd, 2023. He was a loving husband to his wife of 62 years Norma Blanchette (Pelletier). He was born December 6th, 1937, in Eagle Lake, Maine, a son of the late Addie and Anita Blanchette (Raymond).

Allen enjoyed playing Sudoku, watching old movies, and playing cards. He is the former proprietor of Goshen Plaza Liquors (ne Goshen Wine & Spirits). He is a retired member of the U.S. Army where he was stationed at Fort Drum and a past member of Monell Engine Company in Washingtonville.

Along with his wife he is survived by his sons, Marc and his wife Betty Ann Blanchette of Washingtonville, NY, Keith Blanchette and his fiancée Joann McGuinness of Babylon, Long Island, and Jamie and his wife Teresa Blanchette of Washingtonville, NY. He was also a proud Pepere to his 5 grandchildren, Jessica, Eddie, Brandi, Matt (Somer), and Katie, along with his two great-grandchildren Amari and Aubrianna, many nieces, nephews, a brother-in-law and several sisters-in-law.

He is preceded in death by his sister Lola Norton, his mother and father-in-law Phydime and Nathalie Pelletier, and several brothers-in-law and sister-in laws.

A Memorial Visitation for Allen will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, New York 10992.

A Private Interment will be held by the family.
