A visitation for Bessie will be held Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at David T Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, NY 10992. A burial will occur Monday, June 17, 2024 at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, 540 N. Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bessie's memory may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice, 1 Sunrise Lane, Newburgh, New York 12550 US or to a charity of your choice.
BESSIE O MESZAROS
Bessie Meszaros, age 99, of Washingtonville passed away June 14, 2024 at Kaplan House, Newburgh, NY. She was 15 days shy of her 100th birthday.
Bessie was one of eleven children born to Ralph and Laura Mae Baker. She was predeceased by her brothers Jake, Jack, Jim, Joe and Mark and her sisters Betz Danko, Thelma Lake and Bernadine Baker. Bessie is survived by her sisters Christine Schwartz of Goshen and Barbara Bower of Hawaii. She is also survived by her children John (Florida), Marie Smith (Washingtonville) and Oneda (Ohio), ten grandchildren and twenty four great grandchildren.
The family sincerely wishes to express our gratitude to the entire staff at Kaplan House for the care she received. We could not have asked for more.
