"Chuckie" David A. Heffernan

"Chuckie" David Anthony Francis Heffernan of Rock Tavern, NY entered into rest on November 20, 2013 at home with his family by his side. He was 60 years old. Chuckie was born in New York, NY on June 1, 1953 to David A. and Viola (Olsen) Heffernan. He was the husband of Patricia (Smith) Heffernan. Chuckie was a mechanic for MABSTOA. Chuckie hailed from "DA BX" and settled his family in the Hudson Valley. He shared a life of joy with his wife and children. Chuckie was the love of Patti's life. He lived his life with integrity and great intention. His generosity of spirit and kind heart enhanced the lives of his friends and family. He embraced the life of a sports man, from hunting and fishing in the great outdoors, or taking to the open road on his Harley packing his nine iron. Our gentle giant will be greatly missed and remain in our hearts eternally.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Heffernan; son, David S. Heffernan and his wife, Maria; daughters, Shannon S. Heffernan and Madeline S. Heffernan; mother, Viola O’Dwyer and her husband, Daniel; brother, Robert Heffernan; sisters: Patricia Luken, Nancy Kendrick, Christine O’Dwyer, Sharon Mankey, and Karen Smith as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, November 23rd at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, November 24th at 179 Twin Arch Rd., Rock Tavern, NY. Cremation is private. Arrangements under the care of Thomas A. Murray of David T.
